Capricho castanets are our top category in the professional range. They are handmade with high quality materials and sealed with our brand JUAN VELA SEVILLA. Master craftsman and cofounder of Castanets of the South, and participant in the perfection of this musical instrument along with is brother Jose. They were both the creators of the double soundbox, available in many of our models and the “grained black fibre” material, very much in demand because of its adaptable sound for all styles. In addition, they have introduced new designs to the market, improved to favour the playing of the castanets.

The models in this category have a lighter weight which makes them more comfortable to play. In relation to the sound in general, they are tuned with a low bass, but if you’re looking for a different finish they can be modified without any additional cost.

All of the capricho castanets come with a special case to guarantee better conservation. This is also handmade with a faux leather exterior, fleece lined interior and metal clasps for both castanets.
