They are made with black sheets of paper and cotton impregnated with resin. They have a very deeply nuanced sound which emits short vibration waves perfect for confined spaces and recording studios. The special black fabric castanets are made with a normal soundbox.
The point on the top part of the soundbox can be taken off if you wish, without affecting the sound. These professional castanets come with a special case in a choice of 10 different colours. They are handmade with a faux leather exterior, fleece lined interior and metal clasps.
