These castanets are specially made for jota.. They are 100% handmade. They are composed of pressed paper and cotton sheets, impregnated with resin, engraved with our brand JUAN VELA SEVILLA.
Their composition allows these jota castanets to be very light, which makes them an instrument that is ideal to play for a long period of time.. You can choose between a normal soundbox, if you want a medium sound, and a double soundbox, which provides a deeper nuanced sound.
This castanet model can be chosen in various colours: black, blue and white-grained black, green and white-grained black, and caramel.. All of the models can be chosen with a point or without a point on the top part of the soundbox, a modification that does not affect the sound. To personalise your castanets even more, you can also choose between elastic bands or strings.
