Thedesignof these castanets isespecially dedicated to the jota dance.. They are made of pressed paper and cotton sheets, impregnated with resin, 100% handmade.
Their handmade production allows every professional to acquire a personal sound,unrepeatable, which along with the characteristics of this model, can achieve an ideal range and sound intensity for the jota dance. These jota castanets are engraved with our seal of identity, CASTAÑUELAS DEL SUR.
They can be chosen in two tonalities, black or caramel. All of the models can be chosen with a point or without a point on the top part of the soundbox, which does not affect the sound, but allows you to personalise the castanet to your liking. It also should be noted that it’s possible to choose between elastic bands or strings. Professional jota castanets are made with a normal soundbox.
This model includes our special case, available in 10 colours, handmade with faux leather, a fleece lined interior and two metal clasps.
